What's wrong with Our state leaders? It's been a very long time
Since real issues have been addressed. Now it's self-serving. They haven't done ANYTHING to solve a problem or invest in all education, medical needs, serious investigations into unlawful activities, road repairs...
Smoke and mirrors.
Florida citizens deserve better,we are good people.
When I moved here, about nine years ago, it was illegal to use Roman Candle fireworks - too dangerous - but we let any yahoo carry around a gun. That was Florida in a nutshell, as it turned out.
Thank you for these statistics. I had no idea that the majority of mass shootings take place in private homes. The answer is simple. I am surprised the Florida legislature hasn't already acted.. Obviously, armed guards should be required in front of every home. There are many benefits. Other than lowering unemployment, the influx of guns from a grateful Arms industry would result in increased payoffs to politicians who would then pump the money back into the economy by purchasing luxury items and increased spending on their re-election campaigns. A win-win all around. I cannot forsee any serious objections.
As taught to all by the POTUS himself. Create the problem, solve the problem, be the hero.
"This is brilliant marketing, right? Smith & Wesson can sell you both the problem and the solution. They make money on the front end and the back end. Only in America!"
Floridiots are an amazingly foolish creature. I cheated here, but this is something that has been studied often. AI: States with lax gun laws tend to have higher rates of gun violence and murders. Research shows that states with stronger gun laws generally experience lower gun death rates compared to those with weaker regulations. And: Florida's murder rate is generally higher than New York's, with recent data indicating that states like Florida have significant murder rates, while New York's rate is comparatively lower.
But as maga floridiots are known to say, we don't need no stinking facts! Just give me more guns!
It has never made sense that legislators want to give more responsibility to an age group whose brains haven't yet matured sufficiently to handle it. It's well documented that the prefrontal cortex of the brain doesn't reach maturity until age 25, and now it's even being discovered that it's more like 30. The car insurance industry knows how much more dangerous young drivers are (especially males who are the ones more likely to use/abuse guns). Maybe someone should get their experts to address the legislature. But wait, we can't have science interfering with our gun business.
Our legislators have gone insane. There are more guns per capita in the US than any developed country. The US by far has the greatest number of mass shootings and other deaths due to gun violence than any developed country in the world. So the solution for our genius FL legislators is to pass more laws allowing younger people to buy guns and ammunition. This is very ,very sad. George Terranova md

The lovers - greed and hypocrisy - are the driving force.
a gun toting minister standing next to the collection box on the way out!!!
it is one way to ensure generosity, or he/she will "punch" your ticket to the after life!

Real insanity! We vote for these idiots so it’s our fault.
In my opinion churches should get back to being churches. Leave politics out, because it seems to mostly create anger and mistrust.
