How the hell do you know what drives someone you've never met?? Also, how the hell do you know how someone you've never met defines success?? Could success possibly come in forms other than monetary ones? BTW, I'm doing fine financially but I don't require obscene amounts of money to be happy or "successful". Note that all of the wealth generated by most of the super-rich owning class relate to government, either in the form of direct payments, lax regulations, or tax policy that lets them keep too much money. Way back in 1980 or so, the Powell Memorandum lined out a method to gain control of the legislature, judiciary, and the executive. They started small with school boards and such and worked their way up. Once holding sufficient political power, they enacted laws that would make their class richer. With this extra cash, they gained even more political power and enacted more self-favorable laws, and so on, until we have Trump, directly enriching himself on the government tit.
Clever tactics aside, the oligarchs determined to capture the government and they have succeeded. So, we can no longer claim to enjoy democracy but are plagued by oligarchy.
Data from my Apple Watch during my review of the Trump watches showed that my heart rate was consistently 59-61 beats per minute, confirming that my level of excitement was low, and that my oxygen saturation was 100%, indicating that nothing had taken my breath away.
