Wow - that was the most depressing post ever!! If everyone in this state read that they would be appalled and rush to vote in major changes to our state representation!!

It's almost impossible for citizens to win against development. CFZ is barrelling forward with their extension that goes through The Wildlife Corridor. to the new proposed city southeast of Orlando and west of Melbourne. I sat through a canned media presentation with no questions allowed. They said you could submit questions via email, and I did, and surprise, no one has responded. They were so proud because they were building 3 bridges so wildlife could cross, and then the other shoe dropped; people could hike there. Ridiculous. No matter how hard you try, you can't stop rampant development in Florida. Build it and they will come. That's Florida's real motto.

Geez, this is a huge piece…important and illuminating—and depressing. Jolly has to move in. This worship of money over life must stop. Thank you, JC Bruce, for keeping us informed and for your love of all things that matter.

Desantis knows what the public wants to hear and tells us when it works only to his benefit, example:

First voted in, huge Everglades protector. Uh, not.

Endless, "I raised teachers salaries."

Uh, not., if you follow the money through.

And now, "I will be remembered as the governor who lowered property taxes."

Uh, what will we really be paying after he's gone.

Show up and VOTE EARLY, bring someone with you to vote.

Also, find your ballot sample and research the judges asking voters to renew their term, WHO APPOINTED THEM...Desantis, Scott, Bush???????

The answers to how to grow and preserve environment and quality of life have been well known for embarrassingly too long. Money always seems to eventually win out in the long game.
