BREAKING NEWS: Marjorie Taylor Greene says she is resigning from Congress
News and views for discerning Floridians and other Americans
Marjorie Taylor Greene, the controversial Georgia congresswoman who until recently was one of President Donald Trump’s most intense loyalists, says she is resigning from the U.S. House of Representatives.
Famous for embracing QAnon conspiracy theories and notorious for suggesting American forest fires were caused by Jewish space lasers, Greene announced in a 10-minute video that she is calling it quits in January, saying she’s “always been despised in Washington, D.C., and just never fit in.”
Among those despising her most recently has been Trump who has called her a “traitor” and “wacky” in the wake of her siding with victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse over Trump’s objections.
Green was one of the handful of initial Republicans signing on to the petition in the House to release the Epstein files, and stood side-by-side with victims on the Capitol steps in support of the files’ release, which infuriated Trump.
“Loyalty should be a two-way street and we should be able to vote our conscience and represent our district’s interest, because our job title is literally ‘representative,’” she said in her video.

Could MTG relocate to Sarasota and run for Queen of FL, considering that Ronny Double Heels is term limited from screwing up FL any further?
