David Jolly should take a lesson from Vindaman, deciding not to debate his primary opponent Nixon. Refusing to debate Donalds, who he calls a liar, but not being willing to get on the stage to demonstrate his ability to dominate Donalds publicly is a huge mistake. People need to see these two guys standing up publicly, answering questions. That's how we'll take the measure of the men, not by the incessant texts and emails we get asking for money. Does anybody believe what is said in a debate anyway. You don't need a debate to see whether the campaign rhetoric tells you the facts. Do the homework and read.
Scrubbing Trump from your website doesn’t erase it from the internet. Remember back in the day when folks said once you post it online it is never really deleted.. especially since there is a screen shot option ! People know and the ones who really know wont forget. Jolly should debate Donalds and call him out on his lies!
SO MANY Florida voters couldn't think their way out of a paper bag. They don't know the difference between true and false, cannot recognize obvious lies, have lost touch with causality. SMH
I get Jolly's point - the current climate has debates where "my opponent is a commie satanist" is what you're going to be debating with and that's impossible. Even if you get a debate forum where that's disallowed and will be met with boo-ing and ceding your time, which you can't, that'd still not be good enough because in the current climate that will be treated as "bias and censorship", making *you* look bad to the "other side" instead of making them look bad for arguing badly and in bad faith.
With how people are right now, I don't think there is a way to make a debate productive - the best you could possibly do is argue for a debate venue with strong rules and fact checkers, and hope that makes your bad-faith opponent back down and refuse to appear, so that *they're* the spineless coward in the eyes of the hypothetical audience. But is there even an audience for a debate, or is there just supporters for each "team", in their little outfits and tribal attachment, ready to scream "my guy didn't chicken out, your guy cheated by asking for rules that benefit him! Radical leftist bias!"
Donalds' supporters are not seeking out Jolly to hear what he has to say. The only way that Jolly can get his message to the people who believe Donalds' lies is to appear face to face with Donalds.
Jolly’s decision not to debate is why Florida Democrats should nominate Democrats, not warmed-over Republicans. Every time we do this, we get our asses handed to us. Fight the fight!
No credible Dem stepped up but Jolly did. He's smart, has sound values, and is the kind of moderate who can win in a red state. Hope you'll get on board. We sure as hell don't want the alternative.
In a Graduate School of Public and International Affairs course; as students we each had to debate BOTH sides, Pro's and Con's, of the same important issue. I won all of my debates! I did not agree with both of the sides of the issues I debated, I only agreed with one of the sides and yet I won even the side with which I disagreed! Being good at the skill of debating didn't win Nixon the presidency against Kennedy...charisma won the debate. My mother told me "you can't win with a liar"...and indeed, Trump won twice. "To every complex problem there is a simple solution that doesn't work"! Jolly has to decide his strengths and weaknesses, as will the public voters!
Since the Republican party seems to think lying is a campaign strategy there would have to be some way to fact check both debaters. I don't know how you would do that in real time but a debate would be preferable to no debate at all.
Either Jolly knows the truth and can counter falsehoods (the way that was done in this article) or we may be electing someone who doesn’t know how to run a Motorola. Too bad the choice seems to be between a corrupt liar and a shrinking violet.

Kamala massacred Trump in "debate". He showed his abysmally stupid side. Did it help?
And I said at the time before when Biden debated, he should not debate and had nothing to gain. And where did that get him? Off the ticket.
Jolly should hang billboards showing Donald’s interracial marriage next to the black wife he abandoned racists black women especially will react!!!!

The longer this campaign goes on, the more we see the ineptitude of Donalds. Electing him will continue the streak of bad politicians for Florida.

Debate yes. Neutral venue only.

I also think it's a mistake for Jolly not to debate Daniels. This latest tactic of Daniel's is a great opening for Jolly!
Jolly made a thoughtful decision based on a lot more information than I have. That’s what I look forward to when he’s governor.
Make Florida Jolly!
Jolly needs to expose Donald’s lies.
