I would not support any bill increasing the power of any government entity to regulate speech. The language of the bill is far too nebulous. The recent Florida efforts to declare a Muslim organization a domestic terrorist group shows me how this entity would use and interpret information. Our civil rights are under assault like never before. Vote no.
I am the founder and lead organizer for Pasco Resists. If passed these bills, SB 1632 and 1634 will mark a massive shift away from the 1st amendment and towards authoritarianism. There is no way in hell I'll allow anyone to arbitrarily label myself, my organization or anyone who works with us is to be labeled terrorists without a fight. While we are and will always be committed to peaceful protest, we will not go silently into the night. Instead we will be in their faces, loud and proud until this madness ends. WE MUST FLIP THE HOUSE & SENATE! WE MUST IMPEACH, CONVICT AND REMOVE that pos in the WH!
We must all reject any bill that promotes surveillance of our citizens and goes against our first amendment rights.
There is NO scenario where this kind of bill is okay.
Please vote NO against this or any other rendition of a bill that takes our hard fought freedoms and rights away!
