I do not know why smart NextEra executives don’t see every Florida rooftop as a potential source of electricity. I do not understand the reasoning for not encouraging builders to put panels everywhere. Then the work force that buries power lines, replaces them, and repairs them could be contracted to install and maintain these roof installations. The extra that homes produce could be used to power tall apartment buildings where the roofs are too small to power all that is needed. The extra that MetroRail stations, sound barriers, and tracks produce could power QUIET trains. The extra that Bus stops produce could power street lights or electric buses. The flat roof space on top of hospitals and factories could provide … I don’t know. …. as much as the land that used to be Everglades or pasture??? NextEra can boast, but it really is not particulsrly interested in preserving the planet. Better to have bucks now, than to leave a livable planet to future generations.

As a Tallahassee resident, I need to remind (whomever loves a good reminder), that even though Senator Rodriguez speaks of “everyone in Tallahassee”knowing about him and his boots and all the stuff found in barns that he endured back then, most residents in the capital city are not constantly tuned in to the curious activities within those few square blocks surrounding the Capitol building, House & Senate.
His story needs retelling far and wide and loud and clear during this vital campaign of his, and I’m glad you got the ball rolling. Thank you, Mr. Bruce.
JJR, Jose Javier Rodriguez (to be clear, no 'Alex' mingling allowed ;) will need both his rain boots and slop boots when elected Florida's Attorney General November 3.
I'm voting early in October to avoid any sudden rain downpours not forecasted that is flooding our neighborhood streets which might stop me from getting to my voting precinct (and appears I can't rely on our governor to care about funding to fix).
Voting early helps me stay ahead of sudden federal laws changing voting guidelines ;)
This year's vote really counts, make sure your vote does.
Plan ahead, vote early, show up at polls, bring someone.
