This is flat out illegal!

Can a House member in Florida legally run for reelection and also run for governor at the same time? No, a House member in Florida cannot legally run for reelection and run for governor at the same time. Under Section 99.012 of the Florida Statutes, also known as the state's "Resign-to-Run" law, an elected or appointed official is strictly prohibited from qualifying as a candidate for another public office if the terms (or any part of the terms) overlap. Because the term for a member of the Florida House of Representatives or the U.S. House of Representatives would directly overlap with the incoming governor's term, simultaneous candidacies are illegal.

Typical Trump republican, liar and cheat. Florida is Trumps playground with his a kissing followers. Nothing will be done as Desantis has lied and cheated us Floridians. Maybe one day all this corruption will end. Desantis ran for president and kept his governor seat.

Look folks he's a crook totally in it for the money. He's done nothing for the state of Florida. He was buddy buddy with Trump until Trump fell out of favor. He was silent about Alligator Alcatraz, the most recent Florida shootings, the high cost of Florida insurance ( auto & home), the proposed tax law changes, his stance on Florida public schools, the pay for Florida teachers ( lowest in nation), the elements that threaten our environment, the expansion of AI data centers ( $5M ) contributors to his war chest and the current unauthorized war with Iran that keep prices high and inflation soaring. His background is clouded with encounters with the law and up to now has refused to debate with David Jolly. Realize when he's speaking via his TV ads or other announcements that he's lying. His "tell" is his lips are moving.
