Erin is now officially a hurricane

Erin is now officially the first hurricane of 2025. Her path will take her clear of the American coastline if the tracking models (above) hold true. Still, she is forecast to become a major storm and coastal areas in the Caribbean and East Coast will need to be mindful of riptides and dangerous currents, according to the National Hurricane Center.
