As with all of the Republicans ruling & ruining Florida it appears that the Attorney General may live in an alternate reality where the truth is what you need to fabricate at the moment for political ends or to please those who pull his strings. This and what is happening on a national level suggests that the office of the Attorney General needs to become an elected office separate from the influence and control of the Executive branch - who they may be called on to prosecute.

I got back to my Marina after housesitting for a month in Tallahassee to find that ICE had grabbed and deported one the marina's hardest working and most capable dock workers, Rosie from Guatemala. Trump's demonization of 'immigrants' may serve some selfish political ends, but it does actual harm not only to those immigrants, but to all of us Floridians.
Just to note, Guatemalan immigrants fled the horrors of a civil war that was fully funded and directed by US interests. In fact, the war started in 1954 when Guatemala's President Jacobo Arbenz nationalized idle acreage ostensibly owned (now how did they ever get the title?) by United Fruit Company. The company appealed to President Eisenhower who sent the CIA down to overthrow Arbenz. This began a civil war that lasted almost fifty years.
Can't wait until the despicable Desantis regime is gone. David Jolly for governor.
