Good Luck Tonight
Head's up: George Clooney's smash hit Broadway play, 'Good Night and Good Luck,' is on TV tonight, live.
“Good Night and Good Luck” has shattered box office records since it opened its limited run on Broadway in April. Tonight is its penultimate performance, but you don’t need a ticket to see it.
In a deal with CNN, tonight’s show can be seen live on CNN and it also will be streaming on Max.
George Clooney reprises his 2005 film role role as the famous news broadcaster Edward R. Murrow who took on Sen. Joseph McCarthy and his infamous Communist witch hunt.
Here’s the official description of the play:
“Tune in to the golden age of broadcast journalism and Edward R. Murrow’s (Clooney) legendary, history-altering, on-air showdown with Senator Joseph McCarthy. As McCarthyism casts a shadow over America, Murrow and his news team choose to confront the growing tide of paranoia and propaganda, even if it means turning the federal government and a worried nation against them.”
Heroic stuff.
And you can see it tonight, live from Broadway, starting at 7 p.m.
Good Night. Good Luck. We all need it right now.

Who's going to be our pit bull to get us out of the mess we're in now?
Everyone needs to talk about the historical & contemporary link between McCarthyism and Donald Trump. One diabolical mastermind was and is at the core of both. Roy Cohn.
