The annual Festival of Unmentionable Thoughts is devoted to underscoring the importance of freedom of thought and the “complexities of the human psyche.” This year it is on Dec. 12.
I note the event in my Essential News column that runs in Florida Weekly, and in that column I raised the question: How do you know if you need help?
The website Medicine Net offers some suggestions, and I’ve included a link to the article below.
Some of the warning signs include:
Excessive fear or extreme feelings of guilt
Chronic sadness or irritability
Obsession with certain thoughts, people, or things
Confused thinking or problems with concentrating
Detachment from reality (delusions), paranoia
And the list goes on from there.
