Glad I don't live in Palm Beach County anymore!

I hope that less than 172 bears were killed by trophy hunters. All FWC commissioners seem to be hunters to me. I'd like to see a wildlife biologist explain that number.

Happy New Year! May 2026 be better than 2025, but I'm not holding my breath!

What has become of this country? You know who are the animals? Humans. What did wildlife do before we put our two cents in? Leave them alone!!!

With our Bear population and for calling it harvesting or for killing them if you will, it's been found that letting wildlife populations run amuck doesn't do them any favors with every animal requiring a certain amount of density per sq. mile. Deer for examples who have came to thrive in modern times and in some states where the herd numbers were left to getting out of control, they began to inbreed and became sickly over all, with diseases, so what to do and most sure that all the animal activists couldn't come up with anything that the public could afford and support with a better cure. Also the overwhelming majority of funding that supports wildlife conservation—especially for species that are legally hunted—comes from hunters, not animal-rights activists. I for one, used to kill, excuse me, harvest 5 a year for the only red meat we ate, thereby saving the lives of some cattle, so what about the cattle and do they not count as well or are they just considered hamburger?

In the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, mountain land ended up being privatized and fenced off so that no hunting was allowed. As the bears and lions had all been wiped out, nothing acted to control the deer population which in time, as you reported, became stressed and sickly. The deer's revenge was to throw themselves in front of oncoming traffic, which highly damaged a number of automobiles and even killed some people.

Yep, that too, with fresh meat being strung all over the highways. Also for overrunning residential areas and for becoming very tame, while grazing and resting in people's lawns.

My vote is going to David Jolly; heʼs the only candidate that actually cares about our state and our country over corruption!

Bears are not to be f**ked with! This lesson was ignored by the US military and political establishment following the end of the Cold War (and should have been before). Thinking Russia was prostrate and ripe for harvesting resources, American finance moved in, created Russian oligarchs, and generally ruined the country. Putin stopped this and restored Russia to health and strength. As a result, the US Establishment put out a hit on him, which mostly took the form of malign propaganda, but also in the form if NATO expansion, right up to Russia's border with admission of Georgia and the Ukraine, not to speak of extensive political attempts inside Russia.

This is the entire backstory of the US war in Ukraine that uses the lives of Ukrainians to weaken, destabilize, and regime change Russia. It is not a war of Russian imperial expansion, but an attempt to restore political sanity in Kyiv, and it is very cruel, nothing to be proud of by Americans.
