I have to say with all the brouhaha going on with mail in, I tried very hard to read all the rules (I am a mail in voter) and make sure everything was completely correct. Hopefully. I bypassed the postal service with a fax app, fax in were said to be legal. Not only that but I received timely and courteous answers to my questions from government branches and service organizations on voting, and telling me that my ballot was received. All good. At least for me.
“A vote-by-mail ballot cannot be returned online, by fax, by email or by fax with one exception. Overseas voters (civilian and military) have the option to return their ballot by mail or by fax. Please visit the webpage Military and Overseas Voting for more information.”
Yes that is the answer. I am overseas. Here’s the federal site with this info:
https://www.fvap.gov/florida (scroll down, here is what that part of the page talking about ballot return looks like on a phone. Florida still uses faxes. It was a fax app called "genius fax". Please inform your readers of this difference. OVERSEAS MAY FAX IN THEIR BALLOT, but I am almost certain they are not allowed to email it.... for Florida. Or inform me if that rule has changed in the last month, but every indication tells me it has not. Again. OVERSEAS may fax in. If you are in the US and have an absentee ballot for Florida then you are correct, faxxing is not allowed.
Please check with your local Supervisor of Elections to see if your ballot was received. I’ve never heard of faxing a ballot in. This might be the type of scam the felon is promoting.
Yes, Barbara, this is how it must be followed for voters living/working maybe even traveling, I am unsure in that one, outside the United States, which many of us are unaware of
Well it was the FTCC fax app?? You cannot EMAIL a ballot in. That is not accepted, but this fax or fax app is accepted. I received an email from the Manatee.gov that my ballot was received and I dont know if it is counted right away, but yes it was received with no complaints that it was not legal. I can send the email on that if anyone finds this questionable.
I got my mail-in ballot. I sat down and researched the candidates and issues, filled in the ballot, put it in the security sleeve, put that in the envelope, signed the envelope, dated it, and dropped it in the mailbox. I got an email today informing me that my ballot had been received. My signature was verified, the same way that it would be verified if I had voted in person. The ballot is not linked to my name; only the security sleeve has a barcode that verifies that the voter is a valid voter and is entitled to the ballot in the envelope. Let's hope that we don't get a whirlwind of fraud accusations concerning the process.
Researching the candidates and issues takes time, so voting at home with internet access certainly makes sense.
If you want to protest something that matters. Protest the developers that had laws passed so they can get out of paying impact fees. That is going g to cost city and country governments billions of dollars.
This "No Kings" is fine, although it focuses on bad kings, which in truth, is almost the only kind that the West has known, cf, William the Conqueror (perhaps old William is Trump's model). Once upon a time, kings were kings because they were trusted by their people to do right by them, not exploit, jail, extort, and murder them.
There are MANY U.S. citizens voting 'abroad', living outside of the U.S.,
Perhaps a helpful tab to add to News2Use, would be , 'Voters Abroad', that includes Military service.
Our neighbors to our north sometimes are overlooked by the term 'Overseas' voters, but who are not truly living overseas, unless we consider Lake Ontario being 'Overseas', oops sorry,Trump and Natalie.... Lake America.
According to newscanadianmedua.ca, there are '...an estimated 600,000 American citizens living in Canada who are eligible to cast a ballot in the Nov. 3 midterms.'
And voters abroad do vote earlier, it is a longer process to go through, compared to those voters living in U.S.
Thank you, Voters Abroad, for making your voice heard!!!!!!
From PBS' 'Frontline, American Voices 2026' tonight...
"...American Voices 2026, a 90-minute FRONTLINE documentary that premieres tonight on PBS and online — and that offers a meaningful look at both what unites and divides the U.S. electorate as the midterms approach."

Unless you are voting abroad, and that will vary by rules where you last lived.
For example, if you are voting from Canada...

Ballot was received.
Great job Max, it is not an easy process when voting outside of the U.S.

I'm an Overseas Voter and voted 3 weeks ago. It functions really well because of the well-organized Leon County Voting system.

I have seen that you need to out 3 stamps on voting stuff for the post office to forward
It's too bad that there are no events in Miami-Dade County!
FYI.
We don’t have Kings in this country, so stop it already!
Honest, fair elections by our citizens and registered voters is not a bad thing. On this we should agree.
Stop twisting our President’s position on this and get onboard.
I encourage every legitimate voter to vote, no matter what your party or positions.
Just let the voting process be honest and legitimate.
