To do so would result in unacceptable environmental impacts including saltwater intrusion, reduction in spring flows, lowered lake levels and loss of wetlands. Consequently, steps are being taken now, and actions planned, to reduce the state’s reliance on fresh ground water through the use of Alternative Water Supply.” And what is the alternative water supply?Gulf water, Estuary water supposedly made fresh by energy intensive osmosis systems. We are in trouble folks and the Legislators are clueless.
Great and informative report. The Corporate Free State of Florida seems more appropriate, since the people are silenced and free speech takes a back seat to the poison industry. I am reminded of the movie Thank You For Smoking. I can see these same environmentally destructive and health unfriendly orgs sitting in federal or state courts all saying, sugar is great for you and not addictive. And instead of lung cancer wards and graves filling with smokers, people who consume the sweet to excess will fill diabetes clinics and early graves. As with the trump admin, these corporations don't give one damn about how many people die at the hands of corporations, as long as those corporations are padding their campaign coffers. Would a movie titled Thank You For Eating Buckets of Sugar be allowed in the book banning Free Corporate State of Florida?
