I saw this yesterday:

"Very early Saturday morning, Donald Trump shared a video that asked us to see him as a man chosen by God, a historic savior, and a “peacemaking president.”

I'm not a particularly religious person, but from all I have been taught and learned in the last 83 years, I fail to see God even thinking about that statement! Trump has broken or seriously fractured (in my opinion) all but one of the ten commandments (#6).

1- You shall have no other gods before Me.

2- You shall not make for yourself a carved image.

3- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

4- Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

5- Honor your father and your mother.

6- You shall not murder.

7 -You shall not commit adultery.

8- You shall not steal.

9- You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10- You shall not covet your neighbor's possessions.

When are our representatives going to wake up and do something about this "idiot" and his minions. We have become the "laughing stock" of the world and I'm sure our enemies are gaining confidence daily about their ability to take over this country.

Please make sure you vote and encourage your family, friend, neighbors etc., to do the same!

@Otto Freund: Re: #6. Perhaps it should read "You shall not murder or be the cause of murder". Something about HELL freezing over and the ICEY connotations, eh? ;>)

Un-presidential times as well.

T is a poster boy for Communist China and Russia—dictatorships which give military, public information, economic, health, educational authority and a blank check to one leader and his loyalists. Calling social democrats “communists” because they are fighting for representation and a better quality of life among the 95% of Americans who are not uber-rich is beyond ironic. T seems pretty awed by communism.

Remember when we had meaningful discussions hosted by the League of Women Voters? Those were very interesting and informative, and could actually help people make informed choices.

Remember when J D Vance lied during a “debate” and after he finished the moderator briefly stated the truth? Vance objected, saying the agreed-upon rules were “No Fact Checking.” So Vance was saying he insisted on a “debate” that would allow him to lie as much as he wanted, with no fact checking.

If one candidate insists that a “debate” be free from fact checking, then there really is no point in participating in such an event.

I don’t know the full context of Jolly’s words. In my opinion, it’s not just a question of whether one’s opponent is a liar. It’s also a question whether the rules of the interaction allow for meaningful discussion. Unfortunately, since we are mostly presented with sound bites, all we hear is that one candidate says the other opponent is a liar.

If Daniels said he refuses to be fact-checked during the live interaction - which was Vance’s insistence - then that’s the more important message.

Unfortunately, Trump is so addicted to TV coverage, that he is going elsewhere to get it, from Mamdani's office to the U.N. and saying his usual bombastic things designed to get headlines.

As for Moody and Donalds, is that all they got? If so, i's going to be quite interesting on the night of November 3, even is heretofore previously ruby-red Florida.

They should debate and have on-site fact checkers…

The last bit of Mr Bruce's column is telling. The foremost distinction between what is known as 'communism' and what is known as whatever the neoliberal globalists call themselves is cooperation. Simply put, communists do not push others down for their own benefit.

One of the oddest triumphs is propaganda is its success in painting communism as something evil. But communism essentially is a critique of capitalism and offers a way for all humans to prosper together.

I read the report that David Jolly refused to debate a liar who set the ground rules for the debate. No live audience the debate would be recorded and edited and played for the media at a later date. That's not a debate that's a made for TV fantasy. I have a better idea. Use an AI bullshit detector in a live debate with a statistically politically comprised audience ( this is called stratified sampling ). These AI programs already exist and I would love to see AI applied this way.

I am extremely disappointed in Jolly’s decision to not debate

Lies will be expected but air and exposure are more important. Take from play book and learn lessons of K Harris in podcasts. Know your audience. DEBATE

Jolly needs to talk about his addiction in the past, Being wrapped up in the GOP. And how he saw the light and recovered. Then ask Donald about his heroin addiction And how he got over it.

Oh but he’s so mediagenic, and fun to watch and his TV was highly entertaining and rated! So Burnett made a bunch of money with him while getting him into the living rooms of mostly non-discriminating folks who want their “SHOW” to continue, since it’s mindless, predictable, also fixed and with some attractive people. So, what better way to do this than give him 4 years on the biggest SHOW in town! The White House.

This is the SHOW the rest of us now have to watch while the star turns everything upside down because he’s not he’s just not infinitely, bright or capable.

Be prepared with actual evidence

Don’t let him talk over you if he does tell him to shut up

Have clear and relatable points for your position
