Ashley Moody — who was appointed to the seat when Marco Rubio joined the Trump administration — has been running a campaign that verges on invisibility, to the point that members of her party are getting increasingly concerned. Politico reporter Kimberly Leonard, who is based in Florida, recently said that Republicans in the state privately call it “a basement campaign similar to Joe Biden’s” in 2020. “There’s a lot of frustration by [Republican] elected officials throughout Florida that Senator Moody hasn’t been more active on the campaign trail.”
I'm on the Angie bandwagon. We need new blood in Congress to shake things up. I think Moody thinks she has it locked up and has no need to campaign or debate.

I only wish this was their bottom... but there seems to be no depth to which they will fall... Their corruption seems to be the one thing that holds them together... That and their cruelty. :(
Yes, current governor has been using grand juries in Florida when in April 2021 began a grand jury case to remove 5 Broward School Board members and their Superintendent. Four school board members were removed, one member had left to run for state office, Superintendent was indicted, arrested, then left the district only to be cleared later..
All school board members (an elected position) were appointed by the governor to replace the suspended members, however, all appointed members were later voted out by the public in later elections.
Reminder that Broward county was 1 of 3 counties who chose to allow schools to decide Covid mask mandate for safety at schools, as they do with fire drills, tornado drills, lockdowns, etc. And then began the Parental contract, a platform for current governor's presidential bid to run for that office.
If the case was so critical involving public and school safety, why then was the public not informed during the 16 month grand jury proceedings and allowed to be more involved.
Great article. We must fuss about this every chance we get. Don't let it get buried. I'm doing my best on Nextdoor. If you keep repeating the flaws in their logic, you can change the minds of a few. DeSantis has a motive for everything he does or says, just like someone else we know at the national level. How did we let this happen? I'm sure most of you have lived in Florida a long time, but somehow, we missed it. We can't let that happen again.
