Studies in Stupidity

My good friend Alexander Strange has been making a living for years writing about news of the weird (which I have chronicled in a series of Strange Files novels).

But while Florida Man may be the most famous of our great nation’s boneheads, he is not alone.

To keep up with the insanity, I’ve launched a new feature on my website, JCBruce.com, entitled STUDIES IN STUPIDITY.

The first two items have now been posted. And while they happen to be about Republican blunders, I promise this will be an equal opportunity monitor of moronic behavior in public lIfe.

Idiocy owes no allegiance to any one political party, religion, or gender. And madness, while it certainly has a welcome home here in the Gunshine State where I live, is hardly confined to Florida

The first two items detail Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott’s letter to the dead wife of a dead president and Donald Trump’s incorrectly blaming a mass murder on illegal immigrants.

This is new, so we will see how it goes, but I have faith in America and Americans and their ability to behave stupidly. Does that sound cynical? Oh, good!

Contributors to this noble effort will automatically be registered in the Army of the Strange and will receive a secret decoder ring in the mail. Be careful, though: It’s invisible and comes in an invisible envelope, so it is easily misplaced.
