Personal recommendation to those who are going to vote blue - hand deliver your mail in ballots to your Supervisor of Elections office. Then watch for your notification that your ballot has been counted. If you are voting red, by all means, mail your ballot back via USPS.
Voting by mail is surely a sound solution and very practical. Still, I very much enjoy walking to my poling station and seeing the voters and staff. It is a nice custom.
And if you are afraid that the ballots in Post. Office mail boxes will be stolen, use the drop boxes out in front of every early voting location. In Miami-Dade County, alone, there are 28 locations open 7 am to 7 pm from Oct. 19 through Nov. 1 (a Sunday!!).
So in all of Florida that’s how many secure spots for a drive-by drop of a ballot!!??
At the August Primaries voting precinct where I voted in Broward, I saw voters directly put their mail-in ballot in a box setup inside where you sign-in to vote ;) Double check local voting procedures, which is easy to find with an online search using the county name plus Supervisor of Elections. The president and Postal Service does not run our elections, for the moment. Read the Supreme Court Justices' opinions and you will want to make sure to vote early and show up to vote. Check online with your local county Supervisor of Elections website for your Early voting period (typically starts in October, open daily 12 hrs, Monday-Sunday, likely it will vary by county ) Cut out the middle people and get your vote counted, vote EARLY. Some districts allow you to drop off your mail-ballot at various voting precincts, and my county allows me to go vote early at ANY precinct.
Vote by mail should be restricted to those unable to go vote in person early, or on election day due to illness, remote work or travel. It is not a matter of personal convenience. While it is a privilege,it is also a duty. Mail in vote is an opportunity to commit fraud and should be limited to the smallest number possible.
So, we will continue to see shennanigans in State, local and federal elections from the usual districts.
2025 Millbourne, Pennsylvania: Three borough council members pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy for fraudulently registering non-residents and casting their mail ballots, though their candidate still lost.
2025 Carrollton, Texas: Mayoral candidate Zul Mirza Mohamed pleaded guilty to 106 felony counts for forging absentee ballot applications and submitting them via a fake nursing home address.
Historical Local Races: Between 1978 and 2018, at least 14 local elections (e.g., for sheriff, county clerk, or mayor) were invalidated or overturned due to absentee ballot fraud.
I do not have time to correct your research, but aside from local races in very small locales, voter fraud in general is statistically zero. Further, much of the fraud you note is in registration, not voting. Fraudulent registrations are often caught because there is no real voter. Lastly, the proven voting fraud (again statistically zero) in Florida has mostly been votes cast in-person by semi-retirees who voted in another state and Florida, AND....most of it was in favor of Trump or Republicans. Check out the bunch from The Villages in 2020.
Why? And, why should it not be a matter of personal convenience? Under your opinion, why is someone who chooses to travel on election day given the convenience of mail-in ballots but someone who chooses to work a long shift or volunteer at their kid's school not granted the 'convenience'? There is no valid reason not to allow people to vote in the secure way that fits their life.
There are weeks of early voting to adapt to your schedule. There is no valid reason to create a security risk because you are too lazy to get your fat rear out of bed, or be inconvenienced.
