A reader wrote and asked whether CAIR advocates for the implementation of Sharia law in the U.S. I thought it was a fair question and I looked it up. Here's what I found:

No, the Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR) does not advocate for implementing Sharia law as a state or federal legal system in the U.S.; instead, they defend religious freedom and challenge laws seen as discriminatory against Muslims, often fighting against anti-Sharia legislation by explaining that Sharia refers to personal morals, not a parallel legal code, and arguing such laws are unconstitutional infringements on religious liberty, according to their materials and reporting.

CAIR's Stance on Sharia:

Personal vs. Legal Code: CAIR emphasizes that "Sharia" for most Muslims means personal, ethical guidance (like honoring parents, honesty, charity) rather than a political legal system, notes CAIR, Islamophobia.org.

Fighting Anti-Sharia Laws: CAIR actively files lawsuits and campaigns against state laws attempting to ban Sharia, viewing them as unconstitutional and Islamophobic, as seen in challenges against actions by governors like DeSantis, Greg Abbott, and Oklahoma.

Focus on Civil Rights: Their primary mission is protecting the civil rights, free expression, and religious freedom of all Americans, opposing policies that limit these rights for any group, says CAIR.

In essence, CAIR's work counters the fear-driven narrative that Muslims seek to impose Sharia law by advocating for constitutional rights and clarifying the meaning of Sharia within American society, according to their official statements and analysis from groups like Islamophobia.org and PBS.

And not very well disguised! This latest Venezuela adventure meets the definition of state-sponsored terrorism.

An earlier president wrote, "...the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens..." A reference for that quote is below. If any group's rights can be disqualified by just a signature, then none of us is safe. The Tribe of Judah takes no pleasure in this. May everyone be blessed with the light of Chanuka.

When I was an ESL teacher, the State Department sent hundreds of Muslims our way in various programs, including Fulbright and Humphrey scholars. I found them to be stellar students in every way—kind, thoughtful, intelligent, well-educated and compassionate. Muslims, as a matter of fact, recognize Jesus Christ as a Prophet of God, just like Mohammed, but not a divine being. Another fact is that the Divinity of Jesus was not settled theology until the 4th century AD.

The Crusades, beginning in the 12th century, were first and foremost a military solution to opening the trade routes to China and India that the Turks had closed. Secondarily, it was to put Christendom under the Roman Thumb. It was not a venture to 'free' the Holy Land from Muslim infidels—Jerusalem at the time was an international city, recognized as a holy site for the three religions of the Book. A further fact is that the Crusaders killed Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike when they sacked and plundered Jerusalem.

Now it is so that the same Turks who had closed trade also expanded into Crimea and Eastern Europe, but this was more imperial expansion than religious enthusiasm, and the same can be said for the Muslim Conquest of Spain. Both regions experienced long eras of 'reconquest', long-lasting military actions with plenty of casualties, so it is likely that anti-Muslim enmity arises from these wars. The irony, of course, is that these same Europeans colonized and brutalized much of the world and were responsible for more deaths than ever occurred in any reconquest. However, the good Muslim-hating Christians do not possess mirrors.

I think CAIR supports other Terrorist Organizations and people connected to it also do, but CAIR should win the lawsuit based on Federal preemption grounds; however, I think the DOJ should keep a close eye on who care supports and some of their members.

And what "Terrorist Organizations" would that be? Terrorism actually has a definition and while it is perpetually assigned to Hamas, that designation is incorrect. Hamas represents resistance to Israeli occupation, which is a right given to oppressed people by the United Nations. The wife who stabs her abusing husband is not a terrorist, nor are peoples experiencing brutal and deadly occupation who fight back. Were the residents in the Warsaw Ghetto who rose against the Nazis terrorists?

If you are comparing Hamas to the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, you are one sick Jew Hating Person. Israel completely withdrew from Gaza on August 5, 2005. The people of Gaza then elected Hamas to lead them. Instead of building a new Palestinian State, they built tunnels, and bought rockets and missiles and attacked Israel on a regular basis. I use my real name here, why don't you?
