"They did affirm Trump’s right to fire most agency heads, which is a huge disruption to decades of precedent," --- this had me depressed all week.

"but that’s a ruling that works both ways. Trump’s successor will also have the ability to clean house when he or she arrives." --- but this cheered me up! Why didn't I think of that? Thank you! ☺️

I see in the new laws they’re renaming SR-80:

SB 628 designates 124 miles of SR-80 stretching from SR-A1A in Palm Beach County to US-41 in Lee County as the “President Donald J. Trump Highway.”

Guess we can also nickname it Corruption King Highway

I’m afraid the Florida legislature doesn’t care about the Great importance of the Haitian immigrants in our society here in Florida. Maybe it is they know there are many Haitians, who are in senior care and in healthcare, taking care of the elderly. If that is so, it tells me that the majority Republicans in the Florida state legislature don’t care about old people and want to get rid of us. That in itself should make you run to vote in November 2026 to overturn 140 Republican state legislature seats to blue. This horrendous war against doing good and caring for the people and our environment in Florida must stop.

I'm glad students will learn how to write again. Reminds me of the tv pundit I heard after the Parkland school shooting who said that school was special because the kids were getting a "1950's-style education". Lordy, we just thought it was an education but now it is "special"!
