Waste of time and money when there are MUCH bigger issues going on. Nice to hear a sane voice here in SWFL. Makes me feel not so alone. And yes, release the Epstein files!

We all know what's in the Epstein files - and I seriously doubt that even with the release of the files, those deluded, self-serving people would still choose to ignore it in some form or fashion. I actually heard a woman say that whatever he did before becoming a "Christian" she - yes, she - has forgiven him for. That's how far this insanity goes.

No shame. No conscience. Wh*res, the bloody lot of them. What they're doing is aiming this garbage at the so-called "Christians" (you know - the ones who think a raping, child-molesting, thieving, lying, hypocritical, narcissistic, psychopathic traitor is more acceptable than a kind, compassionate, conscientious, non-violent, brilliant law-abiding religious outcast) who will respond with the typical self-righteous (which is an oxymoron), hypocritical hysteria, bread of fear, ignorance, aggression, and utter lack of accountability. I'm astounded at how willing those people are to advertise so boisterously that they apparently have not even read the New Testament, much less internalized true Christ-like virtues, found in The New Testament - in the Word, the words and example of Jesus Christ Himself. Folks. Hate, ignorance, terror, tyranny, hypocrisy, violence, intolerance are NOT found in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Check it out in Galations, and while you're at it - check out Matthew 7, about the dangers of hypocrisy. Again, isn't it telling that Jesus lost his temper in truly Righteous anger at only 2 groups of individuals - the money worshipper and the religious hypocrites who were occupying the same space in His Father's temple.

So - these religious fanatics (under the umbrella of "Christendom") are no less blasphemous, violent, aggressive and hypocritical than fanatics of any religion who use religious doctrine to justify their brand of evil (human vice). These folks should be insulted that they are being "played" (manipulated by the self-serving billionaires who are forcing starvation and destitution on the weak and un-privileged of this nation and of humanity). If you truly seek the Truth - I would switch your focus and exercise some much needed introspection, courage, and character.

Isn't it ironic that the ONLY truly sinless Being to ever exist was also the most non-judgmental, compassionate, generous, loving, self-sacrificing. You know - Jesus. Knowing human beings as the flawed, but loved, beings that we are - said "Follow Me," not follow "Christians." Christian and Christ-like are NOT the same. A parrot can call itself "Christian," but living the truth of Jesus's example is a whole OTHER ball of wax.

I agree. While Sharia Law could be a threat, as you say, no other law can override our constitution. This BS is just a smoke screen.

The true threat - are those who don't do their own thinking - who profess righteousness when they justify their own human vice and evil, and that of others, with their hypocritical hysteria.

Nicely written! Three is no substance to much of America's fears, but those who want the citizens to be afraid, very afraid, will drum up something. Muslim social law derives much from Hebraic Law. Remember that Islam is one leg of "the people of the Book." The other two legs are Judaism and Christianity. As I understand, much of what is considered Sharia Law are no more than tribal customs from people living more than a thousand years ago, but which were adopted as if they were from the Quran. These concern adultery and head coverings. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad was one the first teachers in Western history to advocate for women's rights.

That’s the Rethuglican playbook alright. Make up a oooohhh, scary threat that no sane person with any reasoning ability would consider and present it as something that might actually happen in this lifetime and then run screaming about it everywhere they can get clicks and views and the base believes every word. I cannot understand how the Congresspeople can be a part of this. We definitely need testing to determine that elected officials have more than a cursory understanding of how things work in government…or how they’re supposed to work as opposed to just making things up to make life harder for the people who elected them to positions they have no business being in, unless it’s strictly for business to enrich themselves.

It often seems to me that the right just hasn't read Sharia law. If they had, they'd be all for it, mutatis mutandum (maybe the Ballroom instead of Mecca as a focus of prayers). Except for the parts about usury.
