But will it get there in time to be counted? And what does he have in store to mess up USPS to cause major delays? Cynthia from Largo

So, why is it that Trump can use mail-in voting that will be unavailable to the rest of us by just saying he is "allowed to". And, you can bet that members of congress will use mail-in voting rather than go home to their voting districts. The hypocrisy is overwhelming. There is also no mention that I know of about our members of the military serving outside their voting districts or diplomats and other government employees like the CIA, serving in other countries.

Then you may have heard Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) who voted against the SAVE act noting that it would disenfranchise many Alaskans in rural areas who would have to fly in in order to go to vote at their designated poling place incurring a luge expense.

And yet our corrupt SCOTUS will likely vote to eliminate mail-in voting.

Why why why do we continue to hold a microphone in front of T's mouth?? Nothing has ever come from that hole Tha was worth listening to

Here is my calculus, please check my thinking. The federal SAVE Act has no enforceability and will not pass anyway. His executive order will be equally unconstitutional and unenforceable. However, we have the cruel FL 991 which is now law but the good news is it doesn’t go into effect until Jan 2027. In the meantime, it is of urgent importance that we elect a Democratic Governor who can overcome this along with all the other cruelty laws the FL legislature just passed. So each of us must assess the Dem candidates and throw ourselves into this fight. We cannot allow Byron Donalds to become the next governor or Florida is lost.

Once again I am speechless. The old adage.do as I say not as I do.

It would behoove every able Democrat and Independent voter to get to the polls for this midterm election and wait and wait and VOTE. The hypocrite-in-chief and his trained automatons will try every trick in the book, including screwing with the mail in every way they can get away with. Voting in person will no doubt carry its own pitfalls, but at least will close the door on one large vulnerability this term

I guess Trump voting by mail says it all and once again points out the character of the man who is President.... a cheater and corrupt as hell (his words because he voted by mail)! Perhaps the DOJ should discount that vote since it has been pre-determined it was submitted by a corrupt person! Maybe it was a Democrat in disguise.

I strongly support mail in voting and not only for the ability to travel during election time, but more importantly to have time to read and research the ballot referendums and candidate credentials. I despise those that go to vote and start reading the ballot for the first time when they enter the voting booth! Especially for referendums written here in Florida

No surprise here. Donald Trump feels the rules apply to everyone except him. Ever wonder why he is spending billions of dollars for "detention" centers that have way more capacity than will ever be used for "illegal immigrants". This is a man who has no hesitation to confine anyone who disagrees with him or questions his absolute authority. I have disagreed with some previous Presidents policies, but this is the first President that I truly feel would make himself "King" given half a chance. He needs to be stopped and the way to do this is to get rid of the current useless Congress this coming November.

Why do we continue to put up with this obviously ridiculous nonsense from the person who is President!!!!!

I thought felons had to have their rights restored before they can vote in Florida. I'd love to see the paperwork on Donny's application.

Blah blah blah, when are the Dems going to stand up and call for impeach of the dangerously deranged menace. When is enough enough?!!!! Hasn’t there been enough evidence? What in the hell is going on! Cowards all of them.

What you didn't mention, J .C., is the second part of his plan. By eliminating mail-in ballots, he forces people to come to the polling stations the states he controls have gerrymandered and moved to areas as inconvenient as possible for Democrats to locate and travel to. Another good column. Thanks.

Our democracy guarantees all have a right to vote and all the GOP does is try to stifle certain voters from voting! Are there no decent Republicans to stop their party’s abuses?

I love the conveniences of mail in voting. It allows me to research candidates and not have to line up to vote. I live for the day we vote electronically like the Swiss but for now mail voting is the safest and best way to vote. Verification has always been thorough and problem free until Trump's fabricated stories of fraud!
