I think that Trump has been working up to declaring martial law in the entire country all along. He has been doing this in order to be able to cancel the 2026 elections in addition to possibly getting rid of Congress. If Congress survives he has been seeing the distinct possibility that the democrats will take over the majority, he will be impeached, and probably end up in prison where he belongs. Simply put, he is running scared and he is making we the people and our country suffer.
I agree, I don't believe martial law is warranted here. Now the eruption over George Floyd was understandable, that police officer was incredibly stupid. You never put a knee on anybody's neck to begin with. That does not excuse the protestors who acted violently and committed crimes. Not only was he incorrectly trained but none of the officers there didn't correct that either. Anyways, I just do not hear that Minnesota has violence and crime like Chicago, Los Angeles, or Atlanta either. Nor have I heard people who live there make any huge complaints of chaos or anarchy or lawlessness that has made any national awareness or attention of these things that I have read about either. So like I said, I agree, I do not think martial is warranted here.
About Exhibit A, I like to tell my 'friends' (only slightly tongue in cheek) who scream about "stolen elections" that all US elections in at least the last 26 years have been stolen. It is just that this time, the Democrats did a better job. However, past losing wannabe Presidents have had the good grace to admit defeat and retreat for another bout later (Al Gore).
About Julius Caesar, he came into power to disrupt an enormously corrupt Roman 'Republic' and he intended reforms in favor of the people, specifically to cancel to onerous debts that were crushing the people. The Roman oligarchs killed him for that.
I agree with 1, 2 and 4. You are blaming the wrong person for #3. Obama and Biden CREATED the chaos. Trump is the only one who has the intestinal fortitude to try to clean it up. Not saying I like Trump. Just trying to be fair
